After successfully completing all performance requirements of the PADI IDC Instructor Development Course or your Scuba Instructor Diving Internship you’re just one final step away from becoming a PADI dive pro and working as a certified PADI Instructor…
The PADI IE is conducted in Pattaya by official examiners from PADI Asia Pacific’s headquarters in Australia. There are 12 IEs held annually in Pattaya, each scheduled to take place immediately after the conclusion of an IDC program.
So, if our IDC is a 14-day program, the IE begins on day 15.
Here’s what the typical Pattaya IE schedule looks like:
Morning:
Orientation to the PADI Instructor Examination
Standards and Procedures Exam (90 mins)
Dive Theory Exam (90 mins)
Lunch Break
Afternoon:
Confined Water Teaching Presentations (swimming pool)
Morning:
Knowledge Development Presentations (classroom)
Lunch Break
Afternoon:
Open Water Teaching Presentations (local dive site)
IE Closing Ceremony and Presentation

And of course, once the final presentations are over, it’s time to celebrate your achievement at the IE Party!
