Take your diving skills to new depths with the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course! This course is designed to build your confidence, enhance your diving abilities, and introduce you to new underwater experiences, allowing you to dive up to 30 meters (100 feet). Join us at Seafari Dive Center in Pattaya to explore deeper waters and more advanced diving adventures.
Upon completing the Advanced Diver course you'll be awarded a PADI Advanced Diver full certificate license that permits you to rent scuba diving equipment and enjoy a greater variety of dives to a maximum depth of 30 meters. WRECK Dives. DEEP dives, NIGHT dives and many more and are just 5 dives away.
Unlike the PADI Open Water Diver course, the Advanced Open Water Diver course focuses primarily on practical experience rather than hours of videos or exams. Students simply read five chapters of the PADI Adventures in Diving manual and then complete the skill requirements during each dive.
To help reduce our carbon footprint, we provide PADI e-learning digital manuals only. Each student is registered with an online manual they can download and start studying right away. This allows you to complete the reading in advance, so you’re ready to dive in as soon as you arrive!
We keep our dive courses small, with a maximum of four students per instructor. This setup lets us give each student plenty of attention, making sure you get the most out of your training. You’ll always be under the direct supervision of a PADI Scuba Instructor, so you can enjoy a truly personalized and safe diving experience.
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course includes five Adventure Dives at some of the best dive sites around. Our program offers exciting options like Wreck Dives, Navigation Dives, Deep Dives, and more, giving you a variety of thrilling underwater experiences.
Thailands dive sites are abundant with marine life. Turtles, schools of snappers, Seahorse, moray eels, lionfish, clownfish, groupers, baracudas, nudibranchs, pufferfish, parrotfish, angelfish, butterflyfish and the list goes on, and on, and on….
You’ll have refreshments, fruit, water, tea, and coffee on the boat, and between dives, we take a break for a delicious Thai buffet lunch in one of Pattaya’s beautiful bays. If you have any dietary needs, just let us know during registration, and we’ll take care of it!

PADI Advanced Course in Pattaya – 2-Day Program
Our PADI Advanced course in Pattaya Thailand is typically completed over two days. The course includes scuba diving theory and five open water adventure dives exploring Pattaya’s vibrant coral reefs and shipwrecks.
Here’s how the course is usually structured:
Your first day begins at the dive center with some paperwork and an opportunity to ask any questions. If your dive theory is complete, we’ll head straight to the boat.
At Seafari Dive Centre, we talk to you about which dive specialities we can offer that interest you
You’ll start with easy dives such as Bouyancy control or navigation:
Your instructor will explain each skill, and you’ll feel confident and ready for your first Adventure dive.
During lunch on the boat, we’ll relax and review the second adventure dive skills and dive plan.
On the second day, you’ll learn how to plan your deep dives safely using your dive computer, considering depth, time, and dive limits.
We’ll then head out to explore a shipwreck and 2 coral reef dive sites around Pattaya, with potential sites including HTMS Kut wreck with Koh Sak or Koh Larn or perhaps the Hardeep Wreck and Koh Rong Nong for example in Samae San (depending on dive schedule, weather and sea conditions).
We’ll return to the dive center around 4 PM.
Once you complete all 5 Advanced Dives you will have earned your PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification—allowing you to dive to 30 meters anywhere in the world.

The PADI Advanced Open Water diver certification allows you to dive with a buddy to a maximum depth of 30 meters/100 feet anywhere worldwide.
Yes! Seafari dive centre includes PADI eLearning with all our dive courses so you can take the theory part of the PADI course online.
Students can study the dive theory material at their own pace. You can complete the PADI eLearning (online theory) before you travel to Thailand, meaning you free up your time here for relaxing, enjoying the weather and exploring this amazing place.
Once you book, we will issue you your PADI eLearning to complete the theory online ahead of your arrival. We’ll register you on the eLearning system and you can start your PADI Advanced course immediately. (Please note e-Learning is nonrefundable once activated)
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course is not difficult, but it does challenge you to improve your diving skills and confidence in new environments.
What Makes It Easier?

What Might Be Challenging?

🔹 Underwater Navigation – Using a compass and natural references underwater can take practice.
🔹 New Environments – If you choose challenging dives like Night Diving or Wreck Diving, they may push you out of your comfort zone.

The Advanced Open Water Course is fun and manageable for most divers. It’s designed to build skills, not test you. As long as you’re comfortable in the water and willing to learn, you’ll have no trouble completing it!
