In the PADI Tec 45 course, you’ll build on your Tec 40 training and take your technical diving skills to the next level. Here’s what you’ll learn:
Decompression Diving to 45m/145ft:
Learn to plan and execute single and repetitive decompression dives down to 45 meters using air or enriched air.
Use of Decompression Gases:
Use up to 100% oxygen (EANx) for accelerated decompression, helping reduce your surface intervals and increase safety.
Advanced Dive Planning:
Master dive planning techniques, including gas calculations, run time management, and contingency plans.
Emergency Skills & Problem Solving:
Train for technical diving emergencies, such as gas switching errors, equipment failures, or team separation.
Equipment Mastery:
Further your skills using twinsets or sidemount systems, stage cylinders, and other tec diving gear.
Technical Mindset & Team Diving:
Adopt the discipline, precision, and communication techniques needed for more complex, team-based tec diving.
This course is your bridge between entry-level technical diving and more advanced levels like Tec 50, giving you the confidence and competence to safely go deeper and stay longer.
The course can arranged to begin most days and runs over three days:
Day 1: Knowledge development sessions (1-3), practical applications (1-3), and final exam.
Day 2: Training dives 1, 2, and 3 in open water.
