The PADI Tec 50 course is the final stage in the core TecRec program, designed to elevate you beyond the limits of Tec 45. This course develops your skills, discipline, and dive planning to the level required for independent, extended-range decompression diving.
Conducted by Pattaya’s top technical instructors, Tec 50 qualifies you to make multi-stop decompression dives using air, enriched air (EANx), and 100% oxygen to depths of 50 meters (165 feet). You’ll gain confidence managing complex dives with multiple gases, planning dives using technical dive software, and solving equipment failures or emergencies under pressure.
You’ll train on Pattaya’s most challenging and rewarding deep dive sites — including the Samae San wrecks and Far Islands reefs — building your competence and mental resilience as a true tec diver.

The PADI Tec 50 course is your final step in the core TecRec program — and your certification as a fully qualified technical diver. Building on your Tec 45 experience, Tec 50 takes you deeper into multi-gas, accelerated decompression diving with greater autonomy, precision, and responsibility.
Extended Range Decompression Diving (To 50m/165ft):
Plan and conduct technical decompression dives as deep as 50 meters using air, enriched air, and pure oxygen for extended bottom time and faster, safer ascents.
Accelerated Decompression With Multiple Gases:
Use and switch between multiple decompression gases, including EANx and 100% oxygen, to optimize decompression and reduce risk.
Advanced Dive Planning and Software Use:
Learn to use technical dive planning software to build custom dive plans, backup profiles, and emergency scenarios tailored to real-world technical environments.
Complex Problem Solving & Emergency Management:
Handle advanced emergencies — such as stage failures, gas depletion, or system breakdowns — with practical, in-water drills that reinforce team-based solutions.
Mastery of Technical Equipment and Configuration:
Refine your skills with twinsets or sidemounts, stage cylinders, long hose gas delivery, and technical gear redundancy — preparing you for deeper, more demanding dives.
Self-Sufficiency and Team Diving Leadership:
Develop the mindset and discipline needed to plan and lead decompression dives independently or as part of a technical team, laying the foundation for Trimix and expedition-level diving.

Day 1 : Knowledge Development 1 & 2 / Practical Application 1 & 2 / Exam
Day 2 : Training Dive 1 & 2
Day 3 : Training Dive 2 a decompression dive minimum 40 meters maximum 50 meters
Day 4 : Training Dive 3 a decompression dive minimum 40 meters maximum 50 meters
